Lapa dos Dinheiros is located within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, in one of its most preserved corners. Setting off on foot from here is to immerse yourself in the essence of the mountain.

Cycling trails, whether on MTB routes or along the village’s gentle curves, offer a different way of embracing the landscape. With the rhythm of the pedals, nature reveals itself in detail.
Crystal waters
Water runs freely through the valleys surrounding Casas da Lapa, forming river beaches with a purity that is hard to find. Among trees and rocks, they are cool refuges for long summer days.

Mountain heritage
Serra da Estrela pioneered electricity production from water power. Even today, it is possible to visit dams, channels and stone-built hydroelectric plants that remain almost intact — silent witnesses of the ancient relationship between community and mountain.
